I wrote an article about how to cosplay on a budget, it will be in the cosplay section for the most part but for your benefit, so you don't have to go searching for it, I will post it here :3

10 Ways to Cosplay on a Budget

Cosplay is an expensive hobby. We all know it, but drain our wallets anyway, but there is hope! There are ways to save but still look great and hopefully this guide will help you to do so.

Choosing a costume

The most important part of cosplaying is actually choosing the costume since there are so many characters to choose from. This is also the defining moment of price. You can generally figure out how much you will spend on a costume by looking at it: do you need to buy a wig? Is this very simple or are there tons of details? How much material is this going to take? Is the material you expect to use expensive? Just by looking you can tell a schoolgirl uniform will cost far less than one of clamp's extremely detailed dresses. So make sure you choose something within your budget.

Make, don't buy

Why? Because you will almost always save money when you make the costume yourself. When you pay for someone to make the costume you are paying for all the material and supplies, plus their labour. They are always making a profit, so odds are you can make the same thing for less. Even when buying pre-styled wigs you are paying for their work, so a $60 wig can be sold for $100+ just because it comes pre-styled. Then there are shipping costs which you have to pay, and any taxes/dutys that apply.

If you can't make your costume yourself and HAVE to commission then look at the costume and break down what you can make or buy yourself. Why pay extra for things that you can do?

There are other benefits to making the costume, rather than buying. Commissioners don't always include every single detail you might include, they also might take up more time then you have (especially if they are busy), and there are situations where the costume doesn't fit. Commissioners are not bad to buy from, but you don't know exactly what you are getting until you receive it.

Planning Ahead

Choosing your costume ahead of time is good because it gives you more time to work on it and get things done, but it also allows you to
save money. You can wait and plan to buy your costume materials when the fabric store has a sale. You can also use the amount of time to save money and spend it slowly. It is alot easier to buy a costume in parts than in a whole. You can buy the wig the first month, buy material the next month and then buy anything needed during random intervals. You might end up spending $200 on the costume but it is
easier to spend a bit here and there than the whole $200 at one time.

Cards, Sales & Discounts

Fabric stores often have sales, so always be on the lookout when it comes time to buy your fabric. Though there are many other ways you can get cosplay materials and supplies cheap. Be on the lookout for coupons or membership cards offered by your favourite fabric store. Fabricland offers a membership card that gives you 25% off on all products, even during sales! Some stores offer stamp cards, where you get $10 off a purchase if you spend so much money in the store. Looking for sales, using coupons and using membership cards can all save you money that can be put towards other aspects of the costume, or just to have some extra con money.

Using what is around the house

Clearly the biggest money drain is actueally spending the money, so to keep costs low stick to what is available at home. Cardboard is up for grabs when someone finishes a box of cereal, old clothes you plan to throw out? Easily used for details on a costume. Even leftover spools of thread and broken halloween decorations have potential uses. This is especially useful for props, because most of the time props just need a good base shape and then the paint makes the difference. So why shell out for wonderflex when you can have a cardboard frame and papermache for way less?. There are tons of items that are in your home that may be perfect for a cosplay so look around at home before you go looking at the stores.

Saving Material

You often have some leftover scraps of material after a costume is completed, and you might want to throw them away but don't! Keep any scraps that are a decent size, you never know what you can make with it. I've used leftover scraps to make plushies, add details to costumes, and even make entirely new outfits! You don't just have to save the material either, any leftover ribbon, bias tape, lace, elastic, interfacing or whatever else can be saved and re-used for something else.

Reusing patterns

Sewing patterns can come cheap but they can also get expensive too, and they definately add on to the price of the costume, so why use them once? Save old patterns and re-use them multiple times because you can! Mccall's 4745 is a favourite pattern of mine because it can be re-used so much. Military uniform, male school uniform, dress pants, jacket, collared tunic .... those make up tons of costumes already.

Thrift stores

Getting a costume commissioned is expensive but that doesn't mean you can't buy parts of costumes from stores. Alot of costumes have
regular clothes at the base so you can usually buy part of your costume pre-made, and you can alter it as needed. Thrift stores are amazing for finding cheap clothes, especially if you plan to cut them up! It is also a really good place to buy cheap boots/shoes and hats if your costume requires some of those too.

Take from the old

Old costumes are a great resource because you probably won't wear them again, or at the very least you won't be wearing it at the same
time as your new costume. Why is this good? Because you can save yourself the trouble of making a new piece of clothes if you already own a part .... already cosplayed a schoolgirl and you still have a dresshirt? Then you can use that dresshirt again in another cosplay! If you don't plan to wear that old costume again you can even go the extra mile and harvest material from it, or alter it to make something new. The best thing about old costumes are the wigs. Wigs can get pricey and might be one of the more expensive parts of a costume so if you can re-use old wigs then you get more use out of it and can save a bundle!

Skimp Where Needed

Not every part of a cosplay has to be made yourself, and not every part has to be expensive. So I say: Skimp where needed. If there are 100 gems on a costume you don't need to shell out and make every last gem yourself since you can buy glass or plastic gems for cheap. If a character has normal eye colours then you don't need to pay for contacts because they wont really be noticed. Props don't have to be made of wonderflex or expensive materials since there are cheaper alternatives and youdon't need the highest quality material, just something that looks good. Remember that cosplay is always about how it looks when it is finished and most people won't be judging what they can't see. Do a good job on your costume, but remember that there are parts that you can skimp on.

Hopefully these have been helpful to you! Have tips of your own? Feel free to submit them!

Merry christmas everyone!

I have worked on the review page a bit and added three more reviews! Ceramcoat white acrylic paint, Krylon metallic silver spraypaint and elf ears can all be found in the review section. It has also been added to the main cosplay page.

December 21st 2008

Binding has been added to the cosplay FAQs, in case you wanted to know how. I also updated Nova, Meer and Rozalin on the cosplay page, with more pictures then there were before. I also increased the size of the image, so you can see them in far better quality!

I added a new page of Reviews where you can read my reviews on products I have used for my costume. Get an idea of what you are going to get, BEFORE you buy it!

December 17th 2008

So I have added a couple of new features to the site over the last day, so if you want to check them out I'll list them here.

More to come this week, i have alot of neat ideas to expand the site. Reviews on contacts is definately going to be added! So check back here soon!

December 15th 2008

Another new layout? Yes. I havn't had any time to work on my site because unfortunately I have had to make half a dozen websites for class. So now that winter vacation is here I am free to decorate this site so that it looks good (and works) again. This means I am once again stuck transitioning between layouts, which you have probably noticed from the mess and broken pages. Rejoice! I should re-furnish the place within a couple of days!

What is new? I am ditching the guestbook! Sick of having to check it every so often, tired of not being able to reply directly, and just the idea that everyone else can see the post isn't the best idea has forced me to put my web form knowledge together to make a web form! Does freewebs have a testing server? Lets hope so! If not the page will be hosted on caracciolo.ca . I also plan to have this entire website done in CSS which is what the new layout all about. I will hopefully add some new costume pictures, and other things to the site so look for it!

What is old? I am keeping most of the old site as is, with a new layout. The traditional navigation system will stay in place and the pages will probably be set up similarly to how they were before.

Hopefully it looks good when i am all finished :D In the meantime you can check out caracciolo.ca for some interesting flash assignments

November 15th 2008

I am going to rant about Dotcon because for me it was a poor convention. First of all the ticket prices kept changing, every time I looked I would find a new price for the con and arriving the price had changed yet again and I was unable to afford the weekend pass (thankfully.) The con was also relocated from it's original place of the Holiday Inn on King to a Holiday Inn somewhere near PMALL which put off alot of people, even if a shuttle bus from toronto was provided.

After paying for my ticket I found there was absolutely no reason to, there were no ticket checkers at the doors of anything. The first thing I headed to was the dealer's room looking for something worth buying but it definately fell short. I was not expecting a giant dealer's room the size of ANime North's or FanExpo's but I definately expected more than a tiny room where you could be in and out in ten seconds. If there were more people it would of been nearly impossible to walk through the aisles but there weren't and the passage was somewhat easy.

What were the other events or panels? I couldn't really tell you because we did not recieve a program book. Only out of random chance of pushing all the elevator buttons and riding down did we find a floor with a Dotcon sign. The first Panel room was closed. We knocked, nobody answered, and the door was locked with a card key so we couldn't even peer in. The second panel room was open and we learned a bit about transformers but the room itself was disappointing. The panels were held in the suite rooms and the furniture in the room was all we had to sit on, after the furniture ran out new comers had to stand and there wasn't much space left to stand in.

We left around 5pm because Kevin was bored, I was bored and we had seen everything interesting. We really didn't have a good time and if Dotcon survives the weekend I probably won't attend again until it gets bigger. I won't say it was all bad though! They had the japanese voice actor for Ichigo come as a guest. The cosplay scene was actueally pretty nice with alot of amazing costumes and interesting wigs. People kept themselves entertained with the caramell dansen, lucky star dance and hare hare yukai, as is tradition with cons, and I met a couple interesting people. I also didn't stay long enough to see the masqurade or the jpop dance, and won't be returning tomorrow to see how that turns out so the con could of improved since I was gone. Not worth the $30 but was a decent weekend.

October 20th 2008

New website layout is done, sadly I have been busy and this site has been sitting between layouts for a couple of weeks. More updates later tonight, a couple new pages coming your way, a new project and my current costume's project !

September 16th 2008

My mini rant. Cosplay is for conventions, costume parties, photoshoots, costume gatherings and MAYBE anime clubs but shouldn't be worn on a regular basis unless it is regular clothes. There is no reason to dress as itachi in full outfit to go to the mall, maybe the contacts for fun or maybe the cloak if it is cold and you are running to the variety store, but for general fun it is a bad idea. Would you wear a halloween costume to wal-mart? Probably not unless it was halloween so why should cosplay be any different? You just end up looking stupid, and if you don't then your costume probably is probably made up of regular clothes and then you arn't cosplaying at all. /rant

Oh and interesting thing ... I started a FAQs page for costumes, I'll set the link up later

September 7th 2008

Well school has started, I am having fun so far and look forward to learning a whole bunch of new things that I can hopefully apply to this website. Unfortunately school means a huge hole in my bank account and I have to postpone getting a domain name. C'est la vie

Now for some updates! I have added a couple of new tutorials that you might find interesting. One is eyebrow colouring to get your eyebrows to match your wig and the other is making those long floating strands. Why don't you check them out?

Though these pictures have been up for a bit, I have added Dark Magician Girl to my completed cosplays and some new photos of Rozalin have also been added

August 28th 2008

Finished changing the layout around, I am in love with halftone right now because it makes images look so freaking cool. Though I will probably have loads of new photoshop loves that you won't be tortured with halftone forever. School is coming up rapidly, less than a week now and courses like "web design 1" and :digital stills editing photography" sound way too exciting. I will be geeking out the first couple of days before I get into the weird (lolita/steampunk) clothes with shorts such as "Cherry Pi" that I bought at FanExpo last weekend.

Speaking of fanexpo, the convention was great and photos can be found on my facebook gallery of here (eventually). I had a good time and though i didn't buy too much I enjoyed seeing all the booths and the cosplayers that did decide to come in costume. I had some weird requests at the con ... like someone wanted me to hold their baby in a picture. I think a good amount of congoers think we are mascots and are there for pictures and entertainment...not just fans showing off our costuming skills. There were also a fair number of creeps at the convention, from sniper shots to just awkward creepy conversations and people were even harassed and had up-skirt photos taken without permission.

I guess it is because FanExpo is such a large con with a diverse crowd and definately alot of older guests that possibly still live in their parent's basement. Regardless it is a little creepy to think that a good portion of photos taken that weekend could be upskirt/panty shots and zoomed in breast pictures and that some guy could be fapping to a picture of any of the attendees.

August 21st 2008

Just a note, I have started changing the layout to a new one, so some pages may be different from others. This should be around for only a day or so. It shouldn't bother your navigation at all.

August 4th 2008

Been working hard on my dark magician girl costume, only two more jewels to make. I am really waiting on the material because I can't progress much further without it!

I updated my alchemist costume's page with new pictures. Check it out:

July 31st 2008

I got some photos of my alchemist done by kevin, sadly it was outside my house and so the background isn't amazing but it is pretty nice. Love the colours. I will get those up sometime before the weekend.

I have been working on my Dark Magician Girl costume, the resin casting for my Gems has been pretty crappy so I have upgraded to air dry clay to make the molds out of. Hopefully this works and I will be able to get all the gems done in the next couple of days. They are smoothe, and they will dry so nothing will get stuck to the resin I just hope that it comes out okay and everything looks good. Especially coloring. I started on the necklace, it is made of cardboard but will look amazing when I get the layers of acrylic paint done to give it that bright yellow look. I am just waiting on the PVC. I have a site I want to order from but when i get to the FINAL page of the checkout it errors and I am upset because I havn't got a response from them about it. I can't find the material I need anywhere else!!!! and this costume can't progress without it!

Lastly I agreed to be interviewed for a documentary about "otaku" and cosplay. I think it will be interesting and fun to do, it will definately get my costumes out there and it is something exciting to look forward to. Worst come worst I look bad on camera and everyone laughs at me lol, but hey at least I tried it

July 25th 2008

A new tutorial has been added. It is a guide to making Ulquiorra's mask. I can also be used as a general reference for how to make the other arrancar masks, and I emntion Gesso is the best way to paint it, since it looks much more boney! Why don't you check it out:

You also might have noticed two new icons on the updated cosplay pages. I now plan to list the price range (cost) and why I chose the character. I also added the character's name, what series they are from and what category (anime, manga, movie, videogame) they are from! here is a peak at the icons

July 24th 2008

Lolita Hats have finally moved to their proper link. I still want to organise the page better but first I need to get some new pictures of them, since a good protion of them have been fully completed and stuckonto the headbands.

anyway in news of my life I went to Woodbine mall today and walked down memory lane. I used to go there ALLL the time as a kid but havn't gone for years so it was a nice treat. Not much there but I ate some funnelcake and found another yugioh store. I also started playing UFS, a newer cardgame where your deck is based around characters from various fighting games. It is a little tricky, especially since we don't have anyone to clarify the rules to us yet but it was fun testing the decks. We also found booster packs for $1.00 each (yay for cheap games) so we now have 2 starter decks and 20 booster packs to work with.

as for my costume.... did some more resin casting today. Damn it is a bitch to get it right. This turned out a good colour but it is too long! anyone want a paperweight? LOL!

July 23rd 2008

If you noticed the new layout then you probably figured out that i have been playig around with some new graphics program. Chaoscope is "a 3D strange attractors rendering software" which allows you to play with settings and create some cool designs. Anyway it is worth checking out even if you want to just look through the gallery.
Chaoscope

In other news I have been busy making some cute little top hats to go with various punk/lolita outfits. Right now they are located Here but soon they will have their own section (lolita hats) and will be for sale on ebay or by contacting me.

July 8th 2008

More progress! My staff is almost complete and that is something to celebrate. I had another setback because the top of it got stuck to my table and paint ripped off but I am n the process of fixing that now. The pole has been painted and the golden ball was attached so it is really taking form now!

I also did a mini tutorial on how to make the mask for ulquiorra from bleach. I did it mini sized for a styrofoam head but you get the point. Hopefully I will add it into the tutorials section tonight.

Happy birthday to my boyfriend Kevin who turns 19 today! I have a bunch of surprises for him including an icecream cake decorated with Meer Campbell (drawing on a cake is HARD) and $45 in yugioh cards x.x

July 7th 2008

Not a huge update, I've been pretty busy lately and alot of it has been on my props. Pictured above is my progress on the dark magician girl staff and the pink things for the sides of her helmet. I think they are looking good :D I'll probably be posting more pictures as I get further and definately when the hat and staff are actueally done.

I am also going to thank everyone who has visied this site and said they liked my costumes. It is a nice motivation to keep me going and it inspires me to work hard to produce costumes people enjoy. If you ever have any questions for me then send me a message or post on the guestbook! I'll try to help you out as much as I can and if you are a cosplayer yourself ... goodluck with all of your costumes :D

June 24th 2008

Celebration my college tuition is paid! Now I just need to get books, a laptop and other supplies.

In less expensive news I just finished up the base of my dark magician girl hat. It is cardboard but I will be covering it with vinyl when i get ahold of some, the base looks pretty spiffy though.

If you noticed I have started painting the little pink swirls that are at the sides of her hat. i am using an enamel paint so they have that plastic kind of look to go with the vinyl. The colour is nice and I think they will turn out wonderful when finished.

I also started on another project. I want to start making some mini top hats with various oloita and steampunk designs. The base is finished but I am unsure how to actueally add the material on ... I do want to sell these eventually so I am looking for the strongest way possible. Probably glue will be what I use in the end. I also hope to get the material for my butterfly lolita skirt to match the shirt I bought at anime north ... I might pick up some cute things to throw on hats while I am there.

June 16th 2008

Time really flys when you procrastinate lol. I hadn't noticedI havn't updated the site in awhile. I have made two new tutorials about de-tangling wigs since there have been a few posts about it on gaia. The first is how to detangle a slightly messy wig, like one that has been tossed around, left in a bag or the wind got at it. The second tutorial is about the bad of the bad, wigs that have been teased, left on the ground for weeks, played with by a cat or a two year old, pulled and wrecked to a big hairy mess .... you get the point. Anyway they are interesting so why don't you check them out

June 5th 2008

Happy to say I updated alot of the site and put up my projects page. Currently it is only hosting my steampunk outfit but as I start to experiment with other things I am sure more additions will be made. Speaking of my steampunk outfit... I have pretty much finished everything but the bodice which requires some buttons. There is going to be a sale at fabricland so I plan to get the buttons for that, material and lace for a lolita skirt and kevin wants to make himself a jacket. Sounds like I will have something to keep me busy until I get started on the Dark Magician Girl costume for CNA.

June 4th 2008 - returning yet again

Once again I have neglected this website due to piles of stuff. I went to japan, made costumes for anime north as well as a couple other outfits and have been keeping busy throughout the days. My resolution is to once again try and update this site more often, which might be achieved since I am working on a ton of side projects and have plans for a new costume. If there is anything in the projects section you are interested in buying (such as a steampunk hat or anime character plushie) leave a message in my guestbook or email me at feint_angel@hotmail.com. Any feedback is loved so even if you just like what you see or have some constructive criticism send it my way. I am also very helpful so I will answer questions as best as I can.

March 6th 2008

--Update: The Comments are now working and they can be accessed by clicking the link on the first page. Try it out and leave a message :3!

I am happy to announce that the DS themes page is now up and running and has appeared on the index page and has one theme up. It is still incomplete because I am adding a dark magician girl theme, as well as a how to add themes page. There also has been a spontanious appearance of a "comments" link that doesn't lead anywhere, don't freak out though! I will be finding a good guestbook to use so all the visitors can leave a comment or two.

Since I am typing this at 1:11 AM I don't have much of a day to share, however I do love my late nights. I get so much done because I am wide awake, there is nobody bothing me, and tons of free time. So I get the thrill of updating my site, posting on gaia, making costume parts or doing anything that I don't normally have time to do ... including cleaning xD

March 5th 2008

All you R4 card users I am adding a page for R4 THEMES, since if you are going to get a card that lets you play both music and games you might as well have a layout you like too.

Current Theme: Meer Campbell

I will upload the theme and make a page for it, and you can find the link for it here. I also have a dark magician girl theme and many more will come.

March 4th 2008

Well I got accepted to Humber college for Digital Media Arts, and I am thrilled! I have been deadset on humber since first reading the course description and I was just a little worried about getting in. I didn't see all the groups applying for the course but I think there was noly 1 or 2 other girls in our group which was far less than seneca. So I guess I shall make lots of guy friends, hope they are geeks or it will be rather awkward.

Website news! I have been shopping around for some new code for my pictures page, nothing yet and I might end up taking it down. I don't know exactly what to do with it and I definately don't feel like updating it to the present. I also want to add a guestbook, it would be great if I could make my own but unfortunately freewebs is lacking in that capability, so I will have to find a good host. The good news is every 1 or 2 visitors I get (this means lucky you!) can leave me a comment on what you think. How I will work it to being accessable for all pages, I have no clue.

On the cosplay front I am going material shopping this weekend to get started on Rozalin. I have NO CLUE where to find elven ears, I plan to order contacts after japan as well as the wig, and I still have to figure out how I will attach wings. Anime North is still a bit away so I have time. More importanly MTAC is coming up next weekend and I want to get more feathers and fix up the wings on my suigintou costume, as well as finish some parts. I would like to wear the orihime costume I never wore at AN to MTAC as well. Though who knows if I will.

Speaking of MTAC I wish I had money. I need to switch off a sunday shift to go to MTAC but I really don't want to loose the money, especially if I have to spend it to go. I would also love some spare change to get some purple contacts, a new sewing machine, and some pro photos of my meer costume. However, this can all come in due time.

Lastly the wonderful world of drawings. I did a drawchallenge on Drawspace an art website and forum dedicated to drawing. I did a flower which I am particularily proud of and I am shoving it into my gallery.

Febuary 25th 2008

Alot has happened in the past couple of weeks, and I am in complete anticipation! Why? Because on April 22nd I am going to Japan! Kevin's mom bought the tickets and signed us up for a 9 day tour in which we visit Osaka, Tokyo, Kyoto and some other places. We are going to a meiji shrine, a buddhist temple, TONS of shopping places and MT. FUJI! I have been getting my passport ready and stuff but the wait is killing me. I wish march could diappear and I wake up to it being april.

I have also been addicted to DOMO, I love the game and it's graphics and the ability to be any class and carry skills from other classes onto new ones. The only sad thing is I was a level 16 blademaster but because I skipped getting commoner skills I had to go back to level 10 and re-level so I can actueally do stuff later on. Life will become easier once my skills become available again, or at least I hope they will become available.

I was watching Yugioh GX yesterday and it was all episodes with Yubel. I looked at it's outfit and I really want to do a cosplay. It couldn't be that hard right? Spandex body, face paint, colored contacts... the wings I already have ideas for and the wig I could make work. The only thing is I don't have the money to jump into that right now or I would ... plus I still have DMG and Rozalin in que for this year. I think yubel will just have to fall under cosplay dreams and wait awhile.

At PLASP last week I made this adorable dark magician girl out of plasticine. I am actueally amazed at the result, and it stayed pretty well preserved after sitting in kevin's yugioh tin for a couple days. Maybe I should get into sculpting :D

My final entry today is this little hat. I saw it on 4chan and have since fallen in love with steampunk. I plan to make my own steampunk inspired outfit mixing a bit of lolita with steam and seeing the results. Once again money is going to kill me so I think going to goodwill would be an awsome idea, just to pick up stuff and alter it.

Febuary 12th 2008

I've been working on the site even though I havn't been keeping up with the blog. The cosplay page is almost completely up to date and has alot more information on my costumes including how I made certain props and step by step pictures if I have them.

I also found out why I couldn't get my pages to display properly, it was because I was using divs insted of tables and tables did a much better job. I am pretty happy with it anyway. I am really lazy and wont get the entire site changed over tonight but I probably get it done tomorrow.

I've been keeping myself busy, between college visiting and work I've gotten back to papercrafting and stuff is coming along well! I'm actueally very proud of my creations, one anime character, a companion cube, a haro and now I am working on my second anime girl but I have taken a break because gluing the tiny tabs is killing me.

I have also been drawing and have a sketch I am really proud of but I probably won't upload it until tomorrow.

I also starte dplaying a new MMO, it is called DOMO or Dream Of Mirror Online. So far I am a floaty person and I kill flying pigs (a sylph, and I kill pupus :3). The graphics are very nice for a free game, from what I can tell the GMs run events and the game offers alot of quests. I am hoping that this keeps my attention, fly for Fun and Rappelz certainly failed, beautiful graphics but the quests and monsters were VERY repetative. I don't want to kill small lizard things, then larger lizard things and then really large lizard things. The difference? Well they all look the same, and have the same name except they have the size of them in the name.

February 4th, 2008

Today I found This exhibition on the human body. I wish I could go because it looks completely awsome. They take dead bodies and presurve them, then disect them in a way that you can see how the bones, organs and muscles look. They are then posed in actions so you can see the strain some muscles have while others are completely relaxed. There is even a showcase of the circulatory system where you can see the network of veins and arteries that cover the body. If I can ever get to new york this is definately the top thing on my list!

February 1st, 2008

Today was definately a long day. I had a rough night with little sleep and then I had to wake up at 7 to get ready for work. I arrived at work on time even after facing the snow and spent the work day cleaning glass. It wasn't hard or tedious it was just not very exciting and I found myself yawning alot. Highlight? Timmies for lunch and free fires/chicken strips. Overall I would say work was good. I definately plan to sleep early tonight but I had to update the cosplay page, it has an index page which looks wonderful. Check it out.

January 31st, 2008

Once again I have neglected my website for a long period of time. I started working at the soccer centre and been finishing an extra semester at highschool plus balancing a social life which includes late night weekends. I felt really, I wouldn't say stressed, but very tired of everything. I decided not to return for the second semester of highschool grade 13. I found myself not wanting to do any of the work because I had no motivation, I already had the marks for post-secondary, I already graduated and besides picking up a few extra things there wasn't much I was pulling out of school.

Semester number two starts tomorrow and I have work from 8 to 4 while kevin continues to learn for a week or so before he gets his guidance appointment and transfers out. I know he pretty much is tired of school and really doesn't want to continue but I worry that his marks are too poor to go to postsecondary. I hope he gets accepted to some program, I can always get him to do his work and achieve something at college but he has to get there first. If he doesn't get any news by march I am going to encourage him to go for night school, internet school or summer school to get his marks a little higher.

So now that I have all the time in the world to do stuff, what will I do? I definately want a new job. Even though I said I am available days and nights everyone had their shifts reduced and now I work twice a week. This was the problem with my last job, I worked maybe once or twice a week with little pay. Sure this job pays more and I get a couple more hours, but when I am facing college in september (fingers crossed) and a possible trip to japan this just won't cut it. Plus I am starting to get bored of being the only female working maitenence, the guys arn't very friendly to me except for a select few, and even then besides Gianfranco it isn't like we have all that much in common to talk about. Plus I am pretty sure there is tons of talking behind my back, even more so than there is about everyone else. I would love a nice job behind a counter doing cash. Comic world or a bookstore would definately be awsome places for me to work, I know the content and I am friendly to people I think that those are places I could excell. Plus I can't get anywhere with working maitenence. They probably won't let me change positions because they need maitenence girls (I am currently the only one) and besides the fact that I work for the city, cleaning windows isn't something that screams "experience!"

Other things I want to do? Definately work on this website now that I have the time. Finish updating is top on my priorities. Then I want to create some more art for the art section. I also want to work on my cosplays, I have to finish up my suigintou and then start on rozalin. I would like to give my room a good cleaning, learn vietnamese, learn japanese (I have CDs for these) and get more into yugioh. I have alot of goals maybe I should make a checklist.
